This tape is good for one reason: it allows you to segregate cartons, ie. a different color for a different room/ or file cabinet/ in a very obvious way...buy color...you just color code the boxes with the tape. However, it is not a strong carton sealer. I would advise sealing cartons with heavy duty clear tape and then put the colored tape over it. I just recently closed my office and needed to have cartons dropped off to two locations. The movers loved it! It made it easy for them to deliver the right cartons too the right location. It became a no-brainer. But the tape is not strong enough and tears easily for just sealing boxes securely for travel. I am so glad I thought of doing this because it saved me aggravation! .And that was well worth a few dollars extra.
