Powerflex is the newest and most versatile recent development in athletic tape. Because it does not have adhesive, it does not stick to skin and can be used in place of prewrap, but because it sticks to itself it can be used to hold gauze pads and bandages in place. Powerflex is often used in medical (and veterinary) settings to hold catheters or IVs in place. Also, because of the wide variety of colors it is often used for wrapping wrists and equipment in team colors or for causes (i.e. pink for breast cancer awareness). The 2" tape is ideal for smaller areas such as wrists or hands. Although Powerflex does not provide the support of a typical athletic tape, it is ideal for situations where flexibility is more important than support. The unique self-adhesive design is strong and will generally need to be cut off like typical athletic tape.
Eliminates the need for pre-wrap and adhesive spray
A strong, fabric-based bandage that tears easily by hand and sticks to itself for quick wrapping and longer staying power.
I work at a waterpark and do a lot of work in and out of the water and a lot of walking. My watershoes give me blisters so I bought this hoping it would help. And boy did it! I was alittle bit afraid to try it bc I wasn't shire if it was waterproof and if it was then how much but there was no problem with it at all!!! It didn't come off after being in the water. There was no rubbing at all and I had to pry it appart/off after a 7 hour shift and half amile long walk right after work so there was no part in my mind that didn't think this wouldent work after a longerday or work in the field or a long run!I will be buying it again! The only thing is with the die from the tiger stripes blead alittle in to the water when I first jumped in the chlorinated water wasn't much of a problem tho Boone really caredIf I could rate it higher than 5 stars I would!!!I purchased six rolls of this Powerflex 2 inch tape which my wife uses to wrap my big toe because I recently had surgery on that toe and my doctor used another brand of flexible tape to wrap it in after surgery. We purchased a single roll of another brand of tape and it was expensive, so I went online and also searched on Amazon where I found a better product at a lower price than the brand of tape my doctor uses. Most reviewers rated the Powerflex tape higher than the other brands and I would have to agree. It is easy to cut, easy to wrap and stays in place until you take it off. it also comes in a variety of colors. I would recommend this product to anyone who needs a good athletic tape or one for other uses.Stuff works great. I have an elastic elbow cuff I wanted to wear for the gym because my elbow is a jerk, but since my elbow is a little skinnier than my bicep and tricep the cuff didn't work perfectly. So i wrap just around my elbow to give it a little bulk then put the cuff over it. Gives me support so that my elbow doesn't hurt after I work out. I follow it up with ice also. I mean this stuff is bumpy, it sticks to itself. I can be a little irritating if you put it on too tight or for too long. For my needs it was absolutely exactly the kind of bandage I wanted. This is a great product and cheaper than at the grocery store. My only complaint is that it does not cut/tear well and you usually need to use your teeth (which I hate to do) or a scissor/knife. It does not stick to arms (or hairy arms!) and it will stick to itself quite well. Does not stick to clothing. I use this as a pre-wrap and for extra support. Great product! The product itself was as expected, but it came with no seal, no tape on the end and no bag - seemingly tossed in a box and shipped. Maybe I'm just picky but if I don't see some sort of seal, bag, something then the item appears to be used. I'm not saying that the item arrived used, just that it could have been packaged better so it didn't appear to be second-hand.This is a fairly thin, sticky wrap that I used for an ankle injury. I actually had it as my something blue for my wedding! The color is maybe a tad lighter than shown in this picture, which is a nice change from the average flesh/navy/neon pink colors offered. While I hope to avoid future injury, I would definitely purchase this quality tape again. This product is easy to use and offers great support. We have used it for my son on turf and grass for football and for basketball too. The stability and flexibility are balanced well. His ankle is not especially weak, so the Powerflex alone works great. For those with moderate to severely weak ankles, you may want to consider taping over the Powerflex. The seller did send me the wrong color, but the product works great so I can't deduct any stars for that.I am a speed/strength and soccer coach. I use this stretch wrap for feet and ankles and it works great. It is useful as a base but can be used to provide considerable support while allowing flexibility required for soccer players. It is also a better base for turf toe taping than plain underwrap. It is similar to vetwrap but more supportive. I go through a lot of wrap and tape and I show other trainers how I use this stuff. Everyone likes it.
