This machine i always use with a smile due to the spelling errors on the machine. Or shall I say Madchine. Its not a happychine its madchine. Specifically a Klectronic Madchine. ?????? Works great. The bar near the end before it goes under the rolling part is poorly made, the plastic holding the bar snapped instantly but luckily it doesnt affect the madchine working.We're producing a product with cotton and nylon webbing and needed to cut to size large quantities of these materials. These machines are a bit of a niche market and there's not much info to determine what is suitable, after comparing various machines we decided on the RBay model for its hot and cold cutting capabilities, the 440 watt rating was a bit higher than similar machines and with a need to seal the cuts of nylon we figured this to be best. They have a helpful video on youtube to give you a preview of its functions, which was very helpful when it came time to operate the machine as the instructions that come with it are not easy to follow - you must follow their symbols and explanations and confirm with what's shown in the video before you really get what steps are needed to set up and run the machine. Once we understood the steps the machine works perfectly. I mean it cuts to size - get ready to translate inches to mm - hot cuts and seals nylon, and runs quantities perfectly and does so very fast. I did find that it was necessary to set the temperature to 300 degrees and it takes longer than 15 minutes to get up to temp, can back off temp a bit once it's heated to recommended 250, but from there it cut and sealed perfectly - I did find that after a hot cutting a large number of pieces the machine started to run rough, after checking all the components of product feeding system and cutting assembly I determined that after hot cutting the cutting assembly frame/rails need to be oiled as the factory applied grease melts off. Once freshly oiled the machine continued to cut perfectly. Also, we're cutting cotton webbing that is .065" thick, 1.6mm, it cut it well but when we tried a .093", 2.35 mm, thick cotton web it would not cut that thickness, don't hope it will. I had asked prior to purchasing, question asked on youtube video page, what thickness it could cut and was told up to 3mm, 2mm is more like it, though woven cotton is a tough material because of the hundreds of threads that is it woven from so possible other 2mm+ materials might cut ok, respect a 2mm thickness and you're probably fine.I'm cutting a lot of 1" 55301 webbing. This machine has really sped up my production.Cutting length is very accurate. I'm using 100 yard rolls of webbing. Keep a little tension on the roll in the spool using the thumb set screw.Crank the heat up high and let the machine warm up for at least 5-10 minutes.Conveyor speed set to 20 and cutting speed set to 1.Set cutting speed to 2 if you want a heavier melt/seal.My version has a full english control panel.I got this to cut Velcro/ hook and loop. I was worried the Velcro might be too thick, but it works great and is incredibly fast. The shipping also was much faster than I expected. Although the manual and buttons were clearly translated into English, they were straightforward and easy to follow. Very happy with purchase.Faster delivery works great.I am very surprised that this automatic webbing tape cutting machine can work continuously for a long time, and the heat dissipation is very fast.
