To clear this up because I saw a few reviews saying the 27.5" version doesn't fit their 700c wheels. This is incredibly confusing since 700mm is 27.55 inches. This product is sold using marketing terms for mountain bike tires, not the actual rim measurements which are listed on the box.29" is a marketing term for larger mountain bike tires that fit 622mm rims. I selected the 29" version and it fits my 18mm x 622mm rims, which fit "700c" tires. The box says 28"/-622 which are BOTH rim diameter measurements. It also indicates that the rim tape fits 17mm to 19mm inner rim widths. The 27.5" product would be for "standard" mountain bike wheels with 584mm diameter.622mm = ISO standard for road bike (and larger mountain bike) rim diameter.700c is an old French standard. It was an average tire diameter that fits 622mm wheels, with the "c" indicating width (A through D). This is still used to market road bike tires even though the letter no longer corresponds to the tire width. 700c tires will say 700c x 28 as well as 28-622mm for a 28mm wide tire. The 20mm rim tape is appropriate for narrower mountain bike and hybrid rims. Modern road bikes wheels that are designed for larger than 25mm tires too. You want the tape to cover the entire rim inner so it comes right up to where the tire bead sits. If it's too narrow the rim tape slides around and you get flats from the friction. The tape has to be wider than the inner rim width because the bottom of the rim channel is round.Watch out for cheaper rim tapes. They're only good for 80psi, if that, before they deform too much into the spoke holes on double-walled rims, causing friction/pinch flats. The trend on road bike tires is larger diameter with lower pressure, but heavier riders like myself still need a minimum of 90psi for front road tires and higher in the rear. This rim tape is dense enough to take the pressure without taking on water like traditional cotton rim tape.
